Operation Save-A-C is almost complete. For those who do not know, a "C-Body" is Chrysler's term for the full size cars they made from 1965-1978. Many people do not care for these cars and pull the engines out to put into cars like Charger's and Barracuda's. Since cop cars usually had the hottest engines, they are the ones that get parted out. Well, I found a 1971 Dodge Polara ex-Washington State Patrol car in Spokane, Washington in June and I brought it home to save. It will be heading to Ohio in about a week. I had to get it running before I shipped it, so my friend Tim and I went down to where the car is being stored and we got it running today. It is an amazing feeling to see a car run for the first time in fifteen years. The car was parked in 89-90 and had not moved until I brought it home. The car was last tabbed in 1989. She was a little fussy upon inital startup, but now she purrs like a car. The old Dodge is going to a good home for a full restoration and another "C" is saved.
