How to (almost) solve our gas crisis and (almost) eliminate road rage

Bear with me here, I have a real answer to this. The answer is the Toyota Prius. My Dad purchased one of these a couple of months ago and I borrowed it for a week because I had a lot of traveling to do. The car is amazing. Running around getting 50 MPG is just plain cool. Now, I am not saying everyone should go out and buy these. I drive a Mazda pickup for a daily driver because I haul a lot of stuff around for my business. My toy car is my 72 Dodge Polara, which gets about 10-12 MPG, and a 73 Fury Wagon which gets about the same. My point here is the Prius is a toy, a game if you will. You can watch instantly the gas mileage you get as you run down the road and you really learn what you do in a car that affects the gas mileage. When new drivers are in drivers ed, they should be forced to drive a car like this so they know how to get the best mileage out of a car. If we made this small change, it could save people a lot in gas and lessen the US's dependence on foreign oil.

It also makes traffic almost a joy. I got stuck in a traffic jam for 20 minutes and never got over 10 MPH. This was the coolest thing ever because the whole time the car was running on the battery and I was getting 99 MPG! It was a game and I was winning. We have a contest in our family to see who can do the best on one tank, I think I am in the lead with 52.4 MPG on one tank. It makes traffic fun!

Car companies say they don't make cars that get good gas mileage because people don't want them. I say look at the 6 month waiting list for a Prius and the fact that Big SUV sales are down 30% this year and let them look at those numbers.

Fantasy Playoffs Part Deux

For the 2nd big weekend of fantasy playoffs, the tallzag.blogspot sports casino is taking bets. Only rule is you cannot bet against your own team, unless your Tom Black and want to throw your game against the TZDCers this weekend (and only if your throwing the game). Had only two bets last week, and unfortunately because Yahoo is a bunch of whores, Mr. Sanchez's bet had to be disqualified. The Coach of the Domers will have to pay up on New Years for last week or Pauly Walnuts will come and pay a visit.

Fuzz (+1) vs TZ Decleaters
The Flyin' Hawaiians (+4) vs OCBN

We don't take bets on undercards.

Get All Yee To Seattle

Got to check out Sean and Sanchez's new place this weekend (and got to pass out for the first time there) and it's sweet. Great location and I know we are going to have some good times there. Hopefully Sanchez will join the crowd up here soon and get a good job up here. Hoping he will be able to help me out a little with Tallzag Auctions and let him get his feet wet a little with eBay. Tired and got to get some shocks sent out tmorrow, have a Merry Christmas to all who read this.

Posting the lines for next weeks big fantasy matchup then I'm out.

Very Cool New Program Coming Out

This is one thing I really like about blogs, random people on the Internet can break news like this. Well, I actually can't say too much about this, but I just want to say a local company is going to release a software program soon that will revolutionize the home eBay business. This program will automate all manual entry functions a business person has to do for an eBay business and do it in an all in one program. It will include such features such as a listing tool, a piece to track items you are selling for other people, a full accounting software package that will automatically log your sold auctions, and much, much more. I am going to have the opportunity to be able to test this program as it develops. I've seen pieces of it and this is going to be amazing.

BIG eBay news

First off, wanted to tell everyone that I have a good chance to be featured in an upcoming book. This book will be released in the fall and one company that will be featured in the book will be Tallzag Auctions, my business. Very excited about it. From what I am told from the author, they are doing a feature on a company or person at the end of each chapter and they wanted Tallzag Auctions at the end of the eBay Motors Chapter. This will be invaluable free advertising for my business and I am very pumped.

Tribe Playoffs

Looking forward to a good match with the Domer's this week. I won it all last year and hope to defend my title. At least I don't have to play the Horn's again, it took a Running Back playing against the Seahawk D to beat him last time, lucky. I am in a bit of a gambling mood, so here are my odds for the first round:

Decleaters (-6) vs the Domers
Flyin' (-15) vs the Hooligan's
OCBN (even) vs Coolo (surprised? well, the Colts play Baltimore and SD plays Cleveland, do the math)
Fuzz (-5) vs Opera

Unlike some other people, I am open to bets. Money, booze, PBR, it's all good.

Another added to the stable

Well, I did it again...bought another car...

This one is pretty cool and I could not pass up the deal. Valerio, need a car???

Bought this from the original owner, it is a 9 passenger wagon, has AC, trailer towing package (which is what I am going to use it for), Power Disc Brakes and Power steering. The car has the original paint and I have the window sticker for it from the dealer where it was bought from in Renton!

I smell a road trip!

Operation Save-A-C

Operation Save-A-C is almost complete. For those who do not know, a "C-Body" is Chrysler's term for the full size cars they made from 1965-1978. Many people do not care for these cars and pull the engines out to put into cars like Charger's and Barracuda's. Since cop cars usually had the hottest engines, they are the ones that get parted out. Well, I found a 1971 Dodge Polara ex-Washington State Patrol car in Spokane, Washington in June and I brought it home to save. It will be heading to Ohio in about a week. I had to get it running before I shipped it, so my friend Tim and I went down to where the car is being stored and we got it running today. It is an amazing feeling to see a car run for the first time in fifteen years. The car was parked in 89-90 and had not moved until I brought it home. The car was last tabbed in 1989. She was a little fussy upon inital startup, but now she purrs like a car. The old Dodge is going to a good home for a full restoration and another "C" is saved.

Hawaii Posts Did Not Get Done

I won't be able to do a Hawaii day-by-day, just not enough time unfortunately, too busy with the biz. Just wanted to say the Bamboo Forest was incredible and truely is the garden of eden, as Paul called it.
