69 Valiant Part Duex

Took the Valiant to my buddy and mechanic Tim Morisset and he got it running pretty well. Drove it to Kent, about 30 miles, and it drove great. Guess the speedo if off a little, Colin, my friend following me, said I was doing over 70 MPH on the freeway when the speedo said 60! Not sure what I am going to do with this one. It is a very cool car, but just do not have the room right now. E-mail me if you are interested in this car, tom@tallzagauctions.com.

69 Valiant

Picking up a 69 Valiant Two Door Post Slant 6 tomorrow. Getting this car from a friend in the area who is going through some tough times. The car will be for sale and I will try to post some pics tomorrow, but we do live in Seattle and it is supposed to rain all day, so it might be kind of tough!

List of stuff I am going to list this weekend:

Right and left 69 Dart taillights
71 Duster Headlight bucket
Reproduction Chevelle 1/4 panels
A couple of AM Radio's

And we will see what else I get too. Have a Happy Easter everybody.

My New Toy!

Just picked this truck up, and yes, I bought it on eBay of course.

I currently have a car dolly to haul stuff around, but this will make things much easier. Will get it in three weeks as it is in Fresno right now.

C-Body Disc Brakes Are Ready to Go!

Very happy to report that the disc brake conversion on my brother's Polara went very successfully and is now done. I have now listed the set-ups on eBay and they are ready to go out. Here is a final parts list for the conversion after you buy the brackets.

The following is a list of parts you need for the conversion, you will of course need two of each:

These can be purchased in my eBay Store at:

I can be contacted at anytime at tom@tallzagauctions.com or you can post a comment here, I will get back as soon as possible, thanks!

Viva Las Vegas!

Going to Vegas tomorrow! Too bad I got so sick this week I did not think I could go. Do not worry for me, all is well now and I am feeling much better. Wish me luck in Lost Wages, going to be a fun time watching a lot of basketball in the sports books.

Update on the C-Body Brakes

We finished putting the disc brakes on my brother's 68 Polara this week, but when finished it messed up the alignment some. When my brother took it to the alignment place he found that his front suspension was so bad they would not touch it! He is going to rebuild the front end on Friday and he will hopefully get it all put together then. I don't want to put these on the market until we are totally done! Attached are the "beta" instructions, but we will not be done with them until the car is finished and on the road. The good news is that the car stopped great! Just the front wheels were not straight.

This weekend

Going to try and list more taillights this weekend, got a big lot of them on the Washington Coast a couple of weeks ago. Also have a 67-69 Barracuda ralley dash with tach to put up. Those are getting very hard to find.

Going to Vegas the weekend after this weekend with a bunch of friends, so anybody buying from me will have to wait until I get back! Going to need some more money after Vegas!

podcasting

I realize this is very high tech (even for me), but an exciting new technology out there is called podcasting. This is basically people making radio shows and then having people post the MP3's of these radio shows on their blogs. Here is an excellent podcast from a PR expert from New York talking about this. I am currently working on being able to do this and want to do some on installation of the Scarebird brake systems.

Shoot me an e-mail at tom@tallzagauctions.com with any questions, thanks!

Power Seller Group

I am very lucky to have some incredible people in the Seattle area who really know eBay backwards and forwards. The eBay Powersellers in the area get together once a month to just talk about the latest happenings with eBay and to catch up. I never fail to learn at these meetings and I just wanted to thank Lisa and Janelle for running them.

Got a car up today, a 1969 Dodge Charger. Hope it gets to the reserve, but probably will not. If it doesn't sell this time will probably wait until the Dukes of Hazzard movie comes out this summer because the General Lee is the same make and model of car.
