New Design on the Scarebird B and E-Body Brackets

We just redesigned the B and E-Body front disc brake conversion so it now uses Mopar Parts! We are using 1977-1979 Chrysler Cordoba front brake parts and the 11 3/4" front rotor. We are now using a sleeve on the spindle itself to make up the difference between the width of the spindle and the opening of the rotor. The sleeve itself is made out of steel that is harder than the spindle. Here is a picture of the new bracket:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!

Just wanted to wish everyone out there a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This has been a great year for Tallzag Auctions. We have gone from a company who just sells used parts to a company that has a growing catalog of reproduction parts. We have made a great many friends on eBay, traveling to eBay Live, going to many car shows, and getting new vendors. We plan on going to Spring Fling in Los Angeles this year, the All-Mopar Spring Roundup in Bellevue, Washington, the Mopar Nationals or Carlise, and the Tacoma Mopar Sunbust show in August 2006. We look forward to meeting any of you at these shows!

Thank you to all my vendors, thank you to all my customers, and thank you to all my friends.

Trunk Treasures

One of the pleasures of bringing a new car home that has been sitting for a while is the cool stuff you find in the trunk. Was going through the trunk of the 69 WSP Fury posted about below and found:

Two Rubber Boots
10 Pieces of Wood
The Other Three Dog Dish Hubcaps
A Fishing Net
Several Old Cans of Oil
Two Tool Boxes
Length of Rusted Chain
8 Plastic Wheel Covers From Who Knows What Car

Think I'm going to see if I can get anything for the oil cans on eBay :)

Fury Sold!

I listed my 69 Fury on two websites for 1k and I had three people say they wanted it in a day, wow, guess I underestimated what it is worth! Cop cars and C-Bodies are getting hot right now. As the higher end cars (watch Barrett Jackson coming up in January) keep on going up in value the cars that are not worth as much, i.e. C-Bodies, are only going to go up in value. Time to start hoarding them!

1969 Plymouth Fury For Sale - ex-Washington State Patrol

Got this car in a deal with a 71 Polara WSP, but cannot keep both. Car is complete and is a real WSP car with the sticker still in the door jam. It is a K-Code 440 (lo-po) motor with the F01 dual exhaust option. I pulled the rear seats and it has a build sheet. I also found that the seat belts were still in the factory plastic! Guess they never had to use them. Car does not run, but it actually has current tabs and the previous owner started the car every year. Going to see if I can get it started this week.

The car needs some help, it was buried in bushes when pulled out and has rust in the 1/4 panels, the bottom of a couple of the doors, and has scale on the floorboards. The frame is solid, but it will need some new sheetmetal. Asking 1k for the car, e-mail me for more info, tom at tallzagauctions dot com.

Really don't want to part this one out since the 69 Fury is probably the best cop car and fastest one made until the mid-90's, but I know it is worth at least 1k in parts. The 71 Polara might be for sale soon as well, stay tuned.

Snow in Seattle

It is amazing what happens in Seattle when it snows, the entire city shuts down. It snowed pretty much all day today, but yet none of it sticked to the roads. Tonight during rush hour traffic was HORRIBLE, even though the roads were only wet. I just don't understand it. Guess it is because we only get snow once or twice a year. It was pretty cool to look at though!
