Saturday

Saturday was a very busy and long day, but what a day. We got in line for the swap meet about 6 AM (and for any of you that know me know that I am NOT a morning person, this was not a good start), plus they moved the show. Yes, on the morning before the show they decided to move the entire show to the other side of the park. Since I had never been to the show before it didn't really matter to me (I just followed the line of 40 trucks ahead of me trying to get to the same place). The line was long to get in, but it all worked out in the end. When we finally got in we got everything set-up and settled down to a long day of swap meeting. It was pretty much just me down there, a friend who drove down with me was in the booth for a while and since my brother got pretty sick the day before he hung out for a while, but I really did not get to go out and check anything out. Did real well the first day, handed out all the fliers I brought for the Scarebird stuff and got rid of a lot of things I really wanted to get rid of (ie a huge box of Challenger trim I ended up almost giving away since I was sick of carrying it around). Saturday night is when it really began to be fun. Not sure if these are posting on my site or not so we might be changing to a new provider here real soon so I can post again.

Cruise In

After we got back from Leno we headed to the local cruise in called Flames. Good food and a lot of cool cars hanging around. Here are a couple of pictures. Will blog tomorrow about Saturday. It was a very early morning.

In LA

We got to LA on Friday about noon and we had Leno tickets. We made it in line by 2 and had to wait until 4 PM to get in. A friend had VIP tickets, but didn't have any extras. If you do not have VIP tickets then you are in the top section and can't shake Leno's hand and get a pic after the show, oh well. David Spade was a guest and was pretty funny. They did a clip of his movie though and nobody laughed...just a warning if you are going to go watch "The Benchwarmers". We made it back to the hotel around 6 and hung around for a while. A vendor came in from Palm Desert towing a 24 foot trailer with this! Guess he was using his 69 Dodge Daytona clone to tow the same trailer to the Vegas Mopar Show and blew the motor (really, not kidding here), so he had to use this one instead.

Return From LA

Got back late Tuesday night from LA and have a ton of pics to post, but it is 11:20 PM here right now and I have to be up at 6 AM tomorrow, here is a pic in Roseburg, Oregon on the way down. A friend let me use his very nice 14 foot trailer to put all my stuff in and another friend volunteered his 2006 Ram 2500 Diesel for the trip, we got about 14 MPG in it, but the $85.00 fill ups were painful!
