Got picked this up last week. It is a wreck and I had to travel a long ways to get it, but it has a lot of good parts on it. Listed it on Craigslist tonight under
1972 Dodge Challenger. Trying to sell it whole but will probably end up parting it out. It is a bad sign when the bump stop for the rear end is going through the frame rail.

On Sunday June 3rd, 2007 the Seattle Mopars Unlimited are having our annual show at the XXX Drive In in Issaquah, WA. Will be out there with my 1972 Dodge Polara and hope if anybody is actually reading this to see you there too!

1964 Dodge and a row of cars, Mid-70's Valiant, 73 Chrysler, and a early 60's Chrysler.

One of my favorite pastimes is to go junkyarding and since I cannot seem to stay disciplined enough to post everyday I will just post some cool photos from some of the road trips I've already done this year. Here are a 69 Chrysler 300 and a 69 Dodge Polara in a wrecking yard in Southern Idaho.

Hate it when that happens. 1970 Plymouth Satellite, 318 LA car.

This is the latest cop car I brought home. It is a 1977 Dodge Royal Monaco with a 440 HP engine. It is of course a real police package car that served with the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
The two pictures are before and after shots, one after I got it home after sitting under a tree for several years, one after it got a pressure washer bath.
Interesting story behind the car...
We bought it from the guy who bought it from the auction. He still had the auction brochure from 1981! The gentleman bought three cars from the auction that day, two 77 Royal Monaco's and a 78 Plymouth Fury. All were 440 HP cars. Apparently a lot of the cars at the auction were "ash" cars. After Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980 ash was spread all over the Northwest and was instant death to any car that drove through it. Since the 77 models were close to being retired the newer cars were parked while the older cars still got driven in the ash. The 77 I got apparently was one of the ones with a bad engine but a good body, so he took the motor out of the other 77 and put it into this one. All of the VIN's are on the auction brochure and checking the numbers on the engine confirms all of this (the 77 has the original tranny, 171 of the VIN, but the engine's number is 173, the last three of the other cars VIN number). Not sure what happened to the 78, shame it is probably long gone, but at least one was saved!
Been slowly working on the 77 and it runs and drives great, just has a few minor issues. The body is very solid but it seems like all the body take-off panels (trunk, doors) are rusty. Looking on the bright side it is a lot cheaper and easier to change doors than 1/4 panels!
I stopped blogging for a while since we opened up our new website (
www.tallzag.com). The point was to move all of this over to the new website but we have been having issues trying to do that so in the mean time I think it is right to start back up here.
Just a reminder, please go to
www.tallzag.com to order from us now, we have a full web store up where you can order securely.

Been pretty busy the last couple of weeks and got a couple of cool cars. Had a friend tell me about these two and he very generiously let me have a crack at them. One is a 1969 Plymouth Valiant 100 two door post and is a total strippy. Only options it has are a remote mirror, AM Radio, and 3 speed wipers. It is blue and a leaning tower of power for motivation. It also has nice faded paint and have a friend going to make it into a sleeper. Hmmm...340 powered sleeper that will blow the doors off of anything near it.

The other one is a 1968 Plymouth Valiant Signet two door post. This one is loaded out, it only has a slant 6 for power but has a woodgrain wheel, rear defrost, all the signet trim, vinyl top, and an auto tranny. Not sure what I am going to do with this one, it does have some roof rust from the vinyl top, but it very solid other than that. Not sure what I am going to do with this one but the woodgrain wheel is really nice!

We just got a feature in
Entrepreneur Magazine! Very excited about this. It gets us some good press and really gives us a foothold in the online world. Now we can say we were featured in the premiere business publication in the world!
